Chaturbate (short for Chatur, Chaturbat, Chaturbator, CB) is one of the most popular adult video chat rooms. There are more than 1800 models online streaming their videos at the same time and each has its own target audience! Its headquarters is located in the U.S., and that’s why all the calculations are done in American dollars.

It is very similar to BongaCams in style and function, so these two sites can be perfectly combined. CB, most likely you already know, is really a very popular webcam site, its users spend up to 20 million dollars a month on web models.

Chaturbate Basic Info

• Who can work: girls, guys, trannies, couples. (18+)
• Percentage of the model: 50% of the spending members.
• Currency: tokens. $1 for the model=20 tokens.

Pros

• Huge audience and a lot of rich members;
• Promo period within a week of document approval, CHB itself promotes new accounts higher in the rankings;

• There are many applications and bots for playing games with members, sending automatic messages to the chat to facilitate the work of the model;

Cons

• A lot of competition.
• There is no separate category for Nonnude. Although the rules don’t require models to be nude (work however you want), most streamers are still willing to put on a nude show in general chat.
• Chaturbate is where the largest number of leaks occur. So if you’re afraid your friends will find out, think a hundred times before you sign up.

Now it is one of my favorite sites, and I am sure that even a beginner can get at least 2,000 tokens per stream on Chaturbate. That’s an attainable amount, 100 bucks. How to do that, let’s see.

Chaturbate web model registration and account settings review

Go to the web model registration page 👉 https://chaturbate.com/accounts/broadcaster_register/. On CB you can create a model account not only from the model page, but also after registering as a regular user, provided you provide your passport (we will show you how to do it below). But still, we advise you to register from the model page:

We won’t dwell on registration in detail, but if you have trouble with registration, then we have a detailed article on how to register a model on Chaturbate.

This is what the created profile looks like. I registered it specifically for this article, and in the meantime somehow two people have already subscribed to me.

By clicking on the Edit Your Bio button, you can edit the “bio”, that is, the personal data in the account.

1. Display name: Display name, nickname.
2. Display Birthday: birthday.
3. I am: gender.
4. Interested in: who are you interested in, men, women or trans people. Basically, it doesn’t really affect anything, so you can choose everything.
5. Location: country (choose any).
6. Body type: figure.
7. Smoke/drink: whether you smoke/drink or not.
8. Body decorations: whether there are tattoos, piercings, etc.
9. About me: a free-form story about yourself. Copy the HTML code to make a nice page here, if you know how to do it.
10. Wish-lists: post Wish-lists from Amazon or Lovense, for example.
11. Pics&Videos: photos and videos for sale, free of charge or for fan club subscribers.

In the next tab, Settings & Privacy, we configure the prices per private, as well as who will see the stream.

1. Notification settings: setting up notifications in the mail if someone you’re subscribed to shows up online.
2. List my cam on home page: by default, yes, allow showing stream on home page.
3. Show my cam to these users: to whom to show the stream. Choose everything.
4. Password required for others to view your cam: if you set a password to view the broadcast, only those who know the password can see it. Occasionally, members ask for the password-show. If you agree, go to the settings, put the code word and save. The main thing is, don’t forget to tell the member the code word first, and delete the password after the show.
5. Rules for your room: room rules. Leave them blank, since the same rules are usually written in appendices (we’ll talk about that a little later).
6. Block access to users in these countries: block access to residents of certain countries. To block them, click on the desired country, and it appears in the black list.

1. Appear on network sites: yes. The BS will show you on affiliate sites.
2. Show my satisfaction score: Show my satisfaction score or not. After tipping 25 tokens for the day, a member can vote for a model by giving it a thumbs up or thumbs down vote. It’s up to you whether to hide the rating or not. A good rating is displayed in green, an average rating in yellow, and a bad rating in red. Users are wary of bad rooms, and when they decide to type models with a red rating, they get a notification from the site, something like “you type at your own risk.” The votes last for three months, after which they no longer affect the rating.
3. Fan club cost: Fan club cost. Right now, it’s not available to me, because I haven’t verified my account yet.
4. Allow private shows: Allow private shows.
5. Allow private show recordings: allow members to record private. The recordings will be saved in their account and cannot be downloaded. Allow or not – it’s up to everyone, I, for example, include recordings for an additional 150–200 tokens.
6. Private show tokens per minute: the price per minute of the private. The default is 60, the minimum is 6 tokens, the maximum is 240. The most optimal, in my opinion, is 30 per minute.
7. Private show minimum minutes: the minimum amount of time the user must spend in private. If you set, say, ten minutes, you are guaranteed to get paid for all ten minutes, even if the user leaves earlier.
8. Spy on private show tokens per minute: Spy on private show tokens per minute. Usually everyone puts the price less than a full private, but I put the same price. A lot of people really like sneak peeks, and I hate that they’ll see the show at a penny price. If you prefer, turn off peep shows by putting zero tokens.
9. Token balance required to request private: the number of tokens needed to start a private (from 100 to 1000). I want to note that even if you set 1000, it is not the fact that the member will spend all those tokens for your private. This just means that he must have at least 1000 on his balance.

Don’t forget to save the modified settings.

In the Token Stats tab, you will see the statistics of earnings for the period (two weeks) and by day. Also see the balance of tokens at the very top of the page, on the left. Once a day in the early morning, the balance is updated, so do not be alarmed if you see zero.

With the settings figured out, but before you start streaming, you must be verified.

Verifying a model on Chaturbate

Click on Broadcast yourself and then on Submit Age Verification.

The first point – agree to the rules of the site.

The second point – upload a scan of your passport and your passport photo in person. A passport or driver’s license will also work.

As soon as the moderators review the documents and send a notification of approval to the mail, you can already start streaming. The promotional period starts from the moment the documents are approved. So apply only when you’re 100% sure that you’ll be online soon, and after verification, don’t procrastinate.

Working with chat and apps

To go online, click the Broadcast yourself button.

Choose a camera and a microphone. You can stream directly through your browser or through OBS (which I recommend). To do this, click on the Use External Encoder to Broadcast button.

To the right of the camera window is the chat room. Users – the number of viewers (registered plus guests). PM – personal messages that only the model and the sender can see. Wheel icon – chat settings.

If you want, choose the font color and text size of your posts. It’s useful to sort users by token rather than alphabetically. That way, you’ll know at least roughly how much money is on their balance.
Chat allowed by – Allow all, only those who have tokens or only those who type today.

It is better to choose the second option. Moderators expire after – the term of “service” of the moderator. The model itself appoints moderators from a loyal audience, he can banish others, help answer questions, keep the conversation in the chat, when the model, for example, is busy with the show, and much more.

This is what the chat looks like for the model and the members:

And this is the list of viewers:

• The orange color indicates the model.
• In red are the moderators.
• In green are fan club members.
• In dark purple are members who have spent at least 1,000 tokens in the past two weeks.
• Pink – spent at least 250 tokens.
• Blue – spent between 50 and 250.
• Cyan – spent less than 50 or nothing, but have tokens on the balance.

Don’t write off the blue ones, plus the dark purple ones can change color, and some check the model this way to see if she will get cocky and communicate only with “rich” users. Gray denotes registered members who have never spent any money.

Chaturbate Streaming Apps and Bots

Most streamers use apps and bots to make it interesting to type, and for free-chat shows to have some kind of script.

A total of six applications are allowed at a time. They are in the Apps&Bots section at the bottom of the broadcast and chat window.

The best option is to install:

• Goal application, a collection of tokens that members must tap to see a certain show. For example, Lovense-Me, Tip Multi-Goal, Crazy Goal.
• Application with notifications for members (Notice), type-menu, reminders, automatic messages and so on. Example: Dorothy Ultra Fem-bot, All in one bot, WEB MODELS, Dream bot.
• Additional game for users (spin the roulette wheel for prizes, roll the dice, guess the number behind which there is a prize, etc.) Example: Lucky bumber, roll the dice, spin the wheel.

Let’s look at some of the applications that I myself often use

All in One Bot

I explain only those items that are useful to you on the stream (there are a lot of them).

• PERSONALIZATION… Color Scheme:: Select font color
  Welcome Message: Welcome.
• KING TIPPER ... Use ‘King Tipper’ feature?: whether to display the “king of the room” (i.e. the person who tipped the most per stream).
• TIP MESSAGES … Show message when a user tips? What will be displayed in the chat room when a user tips. It usually says Thank you for a tip!
• ROTATING NOTIFIER … Use rotating notifier?: notification reminders for the members, which will periodically pop up in the chat. Fill them in the Notice # field. I usually write in the notifications, so that users don’t forget to subscribe and put a thumbs up, that I have a vibrator Lash, you can play with it, the rules of private (which I do and do not do) and some basic information from the series of “what’s my name, how old I am, etc.”.
• TIP MENU … Use Tip Menu feature? Enabling the Tip Menu feature. 

Virtual Private Show 2

It’s perfect if you’re streaming to multiple sites, and you’ve started a private on one of them and don’t want to do a free show for the other. This app will hide your camera, and members can peek at tokens or tweak for the whole show if they want.

• Default price for hidden cam shows: total price for watching the whole show.
• Minimum tipped to have access to hidden shows (0=disabled): how much tipped a member must have in total to get access to hidden shows (0 – you disable this feature).
• Price to see a short preview (0=disabled): price per preview.
• Time to see the preview, in seconds (0=disabled):preview time in seconds
  That way you can set a pay per minute show, just like in private.

There are other functions as well:

• Leaderboard – shows the largest types per strip.
• Welcome message – Welcome.
• PM Auto-respond – automatic reply to members who ask for a private message in chat.
• Rotating Notifier – Notifications.
• Tip Menu plus – Tip Menu.

To start a hidden show, type /start in chat. To finish /stop. Go on break and temporarily hide the camera /away.

All applications you use are saved in your profile, but you have to restart them every time before streaming.

Chaturbate: tips on the first stream

1. The promotional period is given only once, so try to stream as often as possible during the first week, preferably from 6 to 8 hours a day. Yes, it’s a lot, but you want to make good money on webcam, right?
2. Don’t be shy to tell users that you’re new and may not fully understand something. Some people really like inexperienced girls and seek them out on purpose before they’re too popular and stellar. But don’t let anyone take advantage of your new status and cheat you.
3. Run at least one app for starters, like Tip multi-goal. The idea is that you set a number of consecutive goals: dance-tip-goal-goal, and so on. The members have to hit the number of tokens you’ve assigned to get access to the next goal.
4. Talk in your voice more often, be responsive, and try to get users to talk in the public chat room. A lot of people try to get models into PM conversations in private messages and are willing to chat there indefinitely, but it’s only hurting you. New viewers of the room are not interested in looking at a model who is silent and typing incomprehensibly to whom. For that matter, ask for PM tokens for, say, 10-15.
5. There are no avatars on CB, and users see still images from the chat on the home page, so try to make sure each of your still images is interesting and eye-catching. No sitting on your cell phone, no dull looks, and no bad posture. Attention is usually drawn to something beautiful or unusual, such as a non-standard pose, a striking appearance and interior, also a close-up face and an atypical angle.
6. From day one, make friends with chat room visitors and work for the future. It’s not as important to bounce around in private chats as it is to get to know potential regular customers, who will then come to your profile regularly and type.
7. Is it worth going to private at all? Yes, there is often a lot of interest in newcomers and members want to “try out” an unfamiliar model, but that does not mean that they will go back to her at the end of the promo period. I wouldn’t recommend doing all the promo in private.
   Your job now is to gather as many viewers as you can, because they’re the ones who will move you up in the rankings. A certain percentage of newcomers to CB get to the front page with thousands of people in the chat, but as soon as the model hides in the private, most users leave to watch another stream, and, accordingly, the chances of the model to get to the top decreases.
   What price should I set for a private? There are two strategies. First, it is to set the minimum of 6 tokens to gather the crowd faster, but it is useless to set this price without more types, so either negotiate about types or convince the members to throw tokens in the public chat. The second strategy – put a higher price, 30–60 tokens, but more than 60 per minute to the newcomer few people will go, if you have not already knocked out the first page or collected on the broadcast at least a few hundred viewers.
8. Remember that the number of people in the chat room never equals the number of tokens. Encourage users not just to watch, but to throw money at you. Tease them, hint at it, that you have a type-menu, and goals to punch in… But don’t be too pushy. “Guys, don’t any of you want to undress me… I’m so horny today” sounds a lot cuter than “Give me your tokens quickly, or I’m going to leave now.”
9. Ask users to subscribe to you and give you a thumbs up. It’s a very trivial thing, but many people forget it.
10. In the room theme (the text box at the top of the camera), write the goal and be sure to have five hashtags. If you use an app, the room target will change automatically based on the number of tokens collected. In that case, write the hashtags in the app itself. Standard set: 2-3 hashtags related to the model’s appearance (blonde, natural, Latina, BBW, smalltits, bigboobs, bigass, brunette, redhead, tattoos) and 2-3 to the nature of the show you are willing to show (anal, squirt, mistress, lovense, cum, BDSM, findom). Hashtags can also refer to the model’s work style (shy, mistress, milf, daddy, cosplay, pvt, c2c). For a list of hashtags, see the Tags tab at the top of the site. 
11. If the chat is completely silent and no one communicates, try writing to users yourself. Don’t spam users in person, but start with an unobtrusive welcome in my room. If a member is interested, he will answer you, but if not, don’t bombard him with messages. Also, do not write as soon as a new viewer enters the room, give him time to look around, feel you and the atmosphere in the chat, understand what kind of person you are.
12. Experiment with the image, the angles, the streaming location. You don’t have to have a professional camera for BS, you can do amateur streaming, like “I’m sitting at home secretly from my parents who are in the next room, just shh-shh-shh, I hope we don’t wake them up.
13. Remember that quite a small percentage of newcomers get to the first page immediately, some take months or even years. Don’t get frustrated and build up your audience gradually. 2,000 tokens per stream is more than an achievable amount you can earn by following my simple tips.
